Fine Art Reproduction

Our fine art printing service (also known as giclee; ZHEE-clay) will give you some of the highest quality and color-accurate prints around. This on-demand service allows you to make only as many prints as you need, and often within a short amount of time... something that was not an option with other printing processes in the past. This service is great for artists and non-artists alike. Anyone can have a high-quality print made from their own photographs, or we can digitize any original work for a strikingly accurate reproduction.

We have witnessed many changes in technology, including the ability to accurately and economically reproduce art, making it more accessible to a broader market. Knowing where you can go to profit from these opportunities can be a challenge. Riverside Art is the answer to that challenge.

Our no-touch scanning is accomplished with a CRUSE scanner, which is proven superior to photography when digitizing originals.

NOT JUST FOR ARTISTS!

Printing photographs onto canvas is a great option if you want a simple piece to hang on the wall without having to deal with a frame. Photos from family events, weddings, vacations or your favorite view of the garden are all great options for this process.

TURN-AROUND TIMES

Are based on a variety of factors including the complexity of the project and the workload ahead of it, as all work is done in the same order in which it is received. A one week lead time is ideal for most jobs. If you need something in a shorter amount of time, or need a large volume of printing done, please call to make arrangements. Any project requesting a shorter turn-around time is assessed a surcharge to cover overtime labor. Please call ahead at 508-672-6735 to make arrangements. Prints on canvas can take extra time as they need to dry before they are varnished with its protective coating, especially if you are having the prints stretched.

A Note on Imaqe Size and Resolution Image quality is solely contingent upon the original source file. More info.

A Note on the four color Process The four-color process is a means of printing a wide range of color using only Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black inks. More info.

Large Color Printing

Our large format printers can be used for more than just fine art reproduction. We often print large color signs and banners for commercial uses, parties, and events. We have both indoor and outdoor banner material, that can be finished with grommets for easy hanging. We also have a matte presentation bond which is sturdy enough to attach to the wall as is, or can be mounted to a variety of foam and mounting boards, or laminated for flexible protection.

Accurate reproduction starts with a high-quality scan. We offer scanning services for fine art reproductions, architectural drawings (which include rastor to vector conversions), and basic scanning of office documents.

CRUSE NO-TOUCH SCANNING

This scanner is capable of scanning up to 48" x 72" in a single pass and up to four times that size in multiple passes, capturing the most precise image possible. The CRUSE scanner is proven superior to photography for digitizing originals. Images are captured in strictly controlled light conditions and with consistent sharpness, homogenous light exposure, and consistent reproduction angle.

  • Homogenous, even, and totally stable light exposure
  • ICC based color management, and advanced profiling with our customized profiling targets and software

Digital Art Restoration

Our photo restoration services include colorization and tinting, as well as hue and contrast adjustment. We can repair damage from cracks, creases and tears all the way up to custom creation of missing subjects or the removal of existing subjects.

As a digital process, the original photograph is not actually restored, but rather the photo is scanned and a digital copy is adjusted and corrected on the computer. When the job is finished, you will receive a digital file that will allow you to make prints of the restored image right away or years down the road.

The pricing is determined by the complexity of the restoration, the time needed to complete the job, and can range from $50 to $250. For the most accurate pricing estimates, please bring your photo into the store for one our reprographics staff to assess, as this is the best way to determine a course of action.

Once the restoration is complete, you can have the image printed out on a simple color laser copy or onto any of our fine art media, which include photo paper, cotton fine art paper, or canvas. The cost of the printing is separate from the cost of the restoration. Estimates can be discussed when you bring the photo in for the restoration assessment.
